The name Heartwood was chosen by Kate herself, embodying the core values of warmth, strength, and stability. Just as the heartwood is the central core of a tree, providing support and durability, we aim to be a steadfast foundation for our clients — built on trust and reliability.
We’re proud to continue serving you from our beautiful, fully remodelled heritage home at 162 Third Street in downtown Duncan. This location has given us the space to grow while maintaining the warm, community-focused atmosphere you know and love. We look forward to welcoming you to our space for many more years to come!
Walk in Notarizations
Available Monday and Wednesday 11-12 and Tuesday and Thursday 2-3. Walk in for travel consent letters, ICBC declarations, Proof of Life documentation, certified copies and other simple notarizations. Please book appointments for Independent Legal Advice, Oil Leases and other more complex matters.

Please note that Walk in Notarizations will not be available on Thursday April 9th. Our Notaries will be working on their continuing education.
We're happy to have Grace Oldnall with us on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next month or so. Grace is a Criminology student at VIU and is hoping to be a lawyer in the future. She's here to learn about what we do here at Heartwood Notary Group and we're happy to show her. 🙂
